Bridging the Gap: Companionship in South Liverpool

Singing Cafe Lark Lane with Holistic Harmonies

Liverpool is a city built on community and ‘scouse’ spirit. Yet, even in a city known for its friendliness, many seniors in South Liverpool can find themselves spending more time alone than they would like.

At Home Instead Liverpool South, we are dedicated to ensuring that our local seniors remain an active part of the city’s social fabric.

The Power of Companionship

Companionship is about more than just having someone in the room; it’s about shared experiences. Our Care Professionals don’t just assist with tasks; they become friends who share in the joy of a hobby; a trip through Sefton Park or along the Otterspool Promenade offer a gentle way to stay fit while enjoying the best of Liverpool’s green and open spaces.

  • Emotional Support: Having a trusted companion provides a sense of security and belonging.
  • Routine and Purpose: Scheduled social activities give the week a rhythm and something to look forward to.

Community Hubs and Activities

We actively support local community events, working with local organisations such as Holistic Harmonies, for our intergenerational music and movement events at Lark Lane Community Centre. These events bring together all generations in a friendly environment and are enjoyed by multiple generations. Everyone benefits.

These events are also fantastic places to meet like-minded neighbours in a relaxed setting.

To find out more about the scheduled community events we support on a regular basis contact our Community Engagement Officer, Max on 07741 184529.
