Behind every meaningful visit are dedicated Care Professionals like Denise and Jacqui—two of our most experienced and well-loved team members, who truly go above and beyond for their clients every day.
These two wonderful ladies joined our Worthing team just over two years ago, when the Littlehampton franchise became part of Home Instead Worthing & Steyning. Since then, they’ve continued to bring warmth, professionalism, and heart to every client they support
Denise: Eight Years of Making a Difference
Denise began her journey with Home Instead in Farnborough over eight years ago. She relocated to Littlehampton just after the pandemic began and has now been caring for local clients for four years as part of the Worthing team.
Before joining Home Instead, Denise was a full-time mum and discovered her passion for helping others while supporting her in-laws with shopping and daily tasks. What started as a small gesture quickly turned into a career filled with purpose.
“Care work isn’t just about personal care,” Denise told us. “It’s about making someone’s day. When a client is genuinely happy to see you—it gives you such a warm, wholesome feeling.”
Outside of work, Denise lives a busy life as a new grandmother (congratulations!), and she’s also a keen baker. Her cupcakes and sweet treats have become a much-loved treat in the office. In her downtime, she enjoys walks along the seafront and fish and chips with her husband—classic Littlehampton living!
Jacqui: From Law to Later-Life Care
Jacqui’s path into care was quite different. After over 35 years working as a paralegal—most recently specialising in litigation, family law, and Power of Attorney work—Jacqui felt a growing desire to offer more personal support to older people.
After being furloughed during the pandemic, she followed her heart and joined Home Instead, stepping into care work for the first time. Four years later, she’s never looked back.
“Some of our clients don’t have any family,” Jacqui said. “We might be the only person they see that day. Knowing I’ve helped make that day a little better—that’s what keeps me going.”
Outside of her role, Jacqui is a passionate also a passionate baker and gardener and an incredibly talented crafter. She sews beautiful phone and glasses cases and donates them to her local Cats Protection charity shop—just one of the many ways she continues to give back.

They especially appreciate the minimum one-hour visits, which allow them to build meaningful relationships with clients and truly personalise the care they deliver.
“You’re not rushing in and out,” they agreed. “You get to know people, and they get to know you—that’s what care should be.”
