We were thrilled to welcome Movingsounds to our Companionship Café recently... it was a day to remember!
Movingsounds are known for their uplifting, dementia-friendly music workshops across East Sussex. Their inclusive sessions bring joy to local groups through interactive musical experiences that are both entertaining and engaging.
During our session, attendees enjoyed a lively journey with music from around the world. There was a mix of familiar instruments and a few more unusual ones, Movingsounds had everyone smiling and joining in. We love to see our guests actively participate – it’s a key part of what makes our cafés so special.
Adding to the warm atmosphere, one of our regulars, Dorothy, brought along a batch of her delicious homemade scones to share. These thoughtful gestures are a reminder of the caring community that grows through our regular get-togethers.
The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was a great example of how inclusive entertainment can help bring people together in joyful, meaningful ways.
We’d love to see you at one of our upcoming Companionship Café sessions. There’s no need to book – just pop in:
All sessions are free and include complimentary refreshments. Whether you’re looking for a friendly chat, fun activities, or simply a warm cuppa with great company, you’ll find a welcoming space to connect and unwind.
Our cafés are designed to reduce loneliness and create meaningful social opportunities within the local community.
A big thank you to Movingsounds for delivering such a memorable session. Their approach to sessions aligns beautifully with our mission at Home Instead: to enhance quality of life and support wellbeing through genuine connection.
This event highlights the power of local partnerships in enriching lives and building stronger, more connected communities.
We can’t wait to welcome both familiar and new faces to our future sessions!
