Celebrating 10 Years With Our Community
Earlier this year, we launched our '10 Years Together' anniversary campaign, marking a decade of Home Instead Lewes District & Uckfield
This month, we hosted two very special events, celebrating alongside the people who have helped shape our journey over the last ten years.
A celebration with clients and the community
On Wednesday 10th June, we welcomed clients, families and members of the local community to a special anniversary gathering at The Dorset pub in Lewes.
The morning featured a fantastic 70s-themed session from Dementia Singing Experience, Sussex, who had everyone singing along, dancing and enjoying the music together.
From the first song to the final encore, the room was filled with fun and everyone was inspired to get involved. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the power of music to bring people together and create moments of connection.
Guests also enjoyed refreshments and, of course, a slice of our special 10th anniversary cake!
Saying ‘thank you’ to Our Care Professionals
The celebrations continued the following afternoon at The Green Man in Ringmer, where we hosted a special event for our Care Professionals. We felt it was important to take a moment to thank the incredible people who make Home Instead what it is today.
Over a buffet and drinks, team members had the opportunity to catch up, share memories and celebrate the relationships they have built with clients and one another over the years.
The afternoon was relaxed, joyful and filled with stories from across the last decade. It was also a chance to reflect on the compassion, dedication and kindness shown by our Care Professionals every day.
As with the previous day’s event, our anniversary cake made an appearance and was enjoyed by everyone as we toasted ten years of caring for our local community.

“Celebrating 10 years has given us a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect on the people who have made this journey so special. Seeing clients, members of the community and our Care Professionals come together over these celebrations has been incredibly meaningful.
Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of supporting so many local families, building lasting relationships and becoming part of our community. I’m enormously proud of what we’ve achieved together, and incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of our story. These celebrations were a chance to say thank you and to look ahead with excitement to the future.”

While our anniversary events may be over, our 10 Years Together campaign continues throughout the year.
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing stories, supporting local initiatives, raising funds for Home Instead Charities and celebrating the people who have helped make Home Instead Lewes District & Uckfield what it is today.
From community activities and fundraising efforts to the everyday moments that make such a difference to our clients, we’ll continue reflecting on the relationships, memories and achievements that have shaped the last decade.
