Scam Awareness workshops in Kirklees.

Our Scam workshops provide an opportunity to raise awareness in the community about the growing sophistication of fraud tactics aimed at elderly and vulnerable individuals.

Many of us believe we would never fall for a scam, but as fraud tactics become increasingly sophisticated, it's getting harder to recognize them.

Scammers are exploiting our growing dependence on the internet and technology, using clever manipulation to trick people into revealing personal information, bank details, or even transferring money.

Older adults, especially those with dementia, can be more vulnerable to these schemes. This makes them frequent targets, but there are ways to protect yourself or a loved one.

Home Instead Kirklees now offers Scam Awareness workshops throughout Huddersfield, Holmfirth, Mirfield, Birkby, Meltham, and the surrounding areas.

These workshops have been well-received by community groups, including Rotary Clubs, Women’s Institutes, church social groups, and carer support organizations in Calderdale & Kirklees.

Each session features a fun quiz, plenty of practical examples, and helpful information on how fraudsters operate. Participants leave with valuable tools and strategies to avoid falling victim to scams.
