At Home Instead, it’s often the small, thoughtful moments that mean the most, not just to our clients, but to us too.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve shared some truly special times with the wonderful people we support. Whether it’s celebrating an 80th birthday with a surprise party and a few happy tears or simply spending a sunny afternoon planting flower pots by the window, these are the moments that stay with us.
One of our Care Professionals recently brought a little fun into the kitchen, teaching her client how to make pancakes from scratch. There were plenty of smiles, but more importantly, it was a lovely way to build confidence and share a sense of achievement.
Just this week, there was a very special trip to the Ferris wheel in Felixstowe, something one of our clients had wanted to do for ages. With his Care Professional by his side, he finally took that ride… not once, but three times! The joy on his face said it all.
For another client who can no longer get out into the garden, one of our wonderful Care Professionals planted a collection of bright, fragrant flower pots just outside her window. Now, from her favourite chair, she can enjoy the colours of the season every day.
And some moments are just simply heartwarming, like the lovely client who hand-knitted a tiny purse for her Care Professional to keep her lipstick in. A small gesture, full of warmth and affection.
These are the kinds of moments that reflect what care with Home Instead is all about: meaningful companionship, trust, and making a difference every day. Having supported our local community for over 15 years, we’re proud to continue helping people live well at home in a way that’s personal, respectful, and truly thoughtful.
