Local Drop-In Sessions to Support Community During Dementia Action Week

With Dementia Action Week fast approaching, Home Instead is proud to announce two friendly, community-focused drop-in sessions aimed at supporting individuals and families affected by dementia.

Taking place locally, these relaxed sessions will offer a welcoming space for people to ask questions, seek advice, and access guidance around dementia and care options. Latitia will be on hand to provide support and help signpost attendees to relevant local services. The sessions are open to anyone who may benefit, whether they are living with dementia, caring for a loved one, or simply looking to learn more.

Home Instead also runs their regular “Key to Care” drop-in sessions in partnership with four local GP surgeries: The Grove Medical Centre in Felixstowe, Ravenswood Medical Practice and Two Rivers Medical Centre in Ipswich, and Framfield House Surgery in Woodbridge. These free monthly sessions offer dementia support and signposting to relevant local services, and are open to everyone, there is no need to be registered with the specific surgery to attend.

As part of their Dementia Action Week activities, Home Instead will also be taking members of their Memory Lane support group for a special day out in Aldeburgh, where clients will enjoy a coach trip and lunch together. The outing has been made possible thanks to kind donations to the group, helping to create meaningful social opportunities for those living with dementia.
