It’s that time of year when we launch our annual Christmas gift-giving campaign, Be a Santa.

The team will be at Sainsbury’s on Warren Heath on Friday, the 21st and Saturday, the 22nd of November, from 10 am, collecting gifts to be distributed to older people in the area who may not otherwise receive a present this Christmas or who may be apart from family and friends and be in need of an extra treat

This year, Home Instead has partnered with local churches and the Salvation Army, who will be sharing the gifts with the members of their community.

Commenting on the heart-warming scheme, Latitia Fadeyi of Home Instead said, “The local community has been hugely supportive in past when we have collected up to 300 presents each year.

“Feelings of isolation and loneliness can certainly be heightened during the festive period, and it’s lovely to be able to reach out to people and let them know that we are thinking of them at this time.

“It’s fantastic to be partnering with Sainsbury’s again this year, and we are looking forward to having many gifts to distribute.

“We know how community-spirited local people are and are looking forward to receiving many donations during our time at Sainsbury’s. Our thanks go to them for allowing us to bring the campaign to their Warren Heath store again.

Home Instead has been running Be a Santa for thirteen years nationally, and in that time has collected and distributed thousands of gifts, which have been warmly welcomed.
