Companionship Café in Addingham

Home Instead Ilkley run a number of events in our community aimed at bringing joy to older people. The Companionship Café launched in November 2025 which runs every second Monday of the month from 2pm – 4pm.
What Is a Companionship Café?
A Companionship Café is a welcoming community event designed to bring people together in a relaxed, friendly environment. Hosted monthly by Home Instead, each café offers live entertainment, refreshments, cakes, a quiz, and a raffle – all included in a £5 entry fee.
Every month features a different live performer, creating a fun and uplifting atmosphere where guests can enjoy music, conversation, and companionship. Many attendees enjoy singing along and even dancing, although there is never any pressure to join in. The focus is simply on helping everyone feel comfortable, included, and connected.
Our cafés are open to adults of all ages and are especially popular with people looking to:
• Meet new friends in the local community
• Reduce feelings of loneliness or social isolation
• Enjoy live music and social activities
• Spend time in a safe, supportive environment
Whether you attend on your own or with a friend, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.
