Our Grants

One way in which we support ageing adults is to provide grants to existing charities and community groups.

Our Grant Making Programme

Update to Our Grant Application Process

Home Instead Charities has recently reviewed its operations following a significant increase in demand for funding.

Over the past year, we have experienced a substantial rise in unsolicited applications to our grant-making programme. While we are incredibly proud that so many organisations value the support we offer, this increase has required us to refocus our approach to ensure the programme remains sustainable, impactful and community-led.

We Are No Longer Accepting Unsolicited Applications

We will no longer accept unsolicited grant applications submitted directly to the charity.

Instead, we are introducing a more locally focused process.

If you are seeking funding, we kindly ask that you contact your local Home Instead office directly to discuss your project or organisation.

Why This New Approach Is Better for You

This updated process is designed to create stronger, more meaningful partnerships within local communities. By connecting with your local Home Instead office, you will benefit from:

  • Stronger Local RelationshipsBuilding a direct relationship with your local office allows for a more personal and collaborative approach, rather than a transactional funding request.
  • Funding Aligned to Local NeedLocal offices understand the specific needs of their communities. This ensures funding decisions are relevant, informed and responsive to the area you serve.
  • Ongoing Engagement OpportunitiesBeyond financial support, local offices may be able to offer additional engagement opportunities, including awareness-raising, volunteering, networking and partnership working.
  • Greater VisibilityWorking directly with a local office can create opportunities for shared storytelling, community promotion and positive local publicity.
  • Long-Term Partnership PotentialThis approach encourages sustainable relationships rather than one-off funding applications, increasing the potential for longer-term collaboration.

How to Apply

If you are interested in exploring funding support:

  1. Locate your nearest Home Instead office.
  2. Contact them directly to discuss your organisation and proposed project.
  3. The local office will advise you on next steps within the updated grant process.

We believe this new relationship-led approach will strengthen community connections and ensure our charitable funding makes the greatest possible impact where it is needed most.

Thank you for the vital work you do in supporting older people and communities. We look forward to connecting with you locally.
