Home Instead Havant Care Pro Takes on Spinnaker Tower Abseil for Rowans Hospice
Last weekend, one of our incredible Care Professionals, Anna, swapped her caring role for a safety harness and helmet as she took on the challenge of abseiling down Portsmouth’s iconic Spinnaker Tower – all to raise money for Rowans Hospice.
Having experienced first-hand the work Rowans Hospice does to support local people and their families through some of life’s most difficult moments. She decided she wanted to do something bold (and a little bit scary!) to give back.
Cheered on by friends, family, colleagues, and our local community, Anna braved the heights and made her way down the 170-metre drop with courage and a big smile. Thanks to the generosity of her supporters, she has already raised an incredible £1,800 – and donations are still coming in.
“I faced one of my biggest fears abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower. I was terrified standing at the top, stepping onto the platform, and taking that first move over the edge. But once I was on my way, I loved the rush of whizzing down! I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved.”
If you’d like to help Anna raise even more for this wonderful cause, there’s still time to donate. Every contribution will help Rowans Hospice continue their vital work.
From all of us at Home Instead Havant – well done, Anna, we’re so proud of you! 💚
