Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition, meaning that it increasingly affects brain function and gets worse over time. Currently, around 153,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK, and it’s the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.

Home Instead are part of the Parkinson’s UK Excellence Network and deliver specific training developed by Parkinson’s UK to their Care Professionals to enable them to support and assist those living with the disease.

Sheena Van Parys, co-owner of Home Instead states , ‘ A number of our own clients live with Parkinson’s, so it remains very close to our hearts, being sure to raise awareness of this condition within our community.’

Recently Home Instead team members, Jennie and Jo, attended the  training  in which signs, symptoms, treatment, and care of Parkinson’s is discussed. They are pictured here with their certificates and badges after recently completing the training – well done to both of them!
