Local care company Home Instead in Harrogate took time out this Christmas to help deliver gifts to the elderly in the community.
Home Instead donated £200 this year to local charity SOP (Supporting Older People) towards their Christmas presents for the elderly people that they support in the community. The team from Home Instead also helped to deliver the gifts in the Nidderdale area along with a Home Instead winter puzzle book to enjoy.
SOP (Supporting Older People) help to alleviate loneliness and isolation for older people in the Harrogate area by providing volunteer visitors to support and provide companionship. They also host activities throughout the year such as exercise groups and lunch clubs for overall wellbeing and friendship.
Sheena Van Parys, co-owner of Home Instead said;’ it was great to support this charity again this year and we loved helping to deliver the gifts, meeting the recipients who were very grateful not only for the gift but also for the work that the team at SOP do.’
