Personal care with us isn’t just about getting things done, it’s about how those things are done. We preserve routines, help maintain independence, and support each client’s sense of identity. That might mean helping someone shave just right for Sunday lunch, selecting a favourite outfit, or assisting with mobility while maintaining privacy and control. Our team also provides specialised support with catheter, stoma and continence care, and we work closely with family members and health professionals to ensure care is always appropriate and kind.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

Very helpful. Don’t have enough words to describe service, once more ‘excellent’.” These words reflect the comfort and dignity we aim to provide through every visit, support that goes beyond the physical, bringing reassurance and confidence each day.

Many of our leadership team come from medical and nursing backgrounds, and that experience runs through everything we do. Our Care Professionals receive specialist training in rehabilitation, fall recovery, and respectful personal care techniques. Many also complete additional instruction in areas like Parkinson’s, dementia, and post-surgery support. We review care plans monthly to ensure everything is tailored and up to date. And thanks to our “Mum & Dad” test, we always ask ourselves if the care we’re delivering is good enough for our own loved ones before delivering it to you.
We collaborate closely with GPs, district nurses, and physiotherapists across Hammersmith & Chiswick to provide joined-up, responsive personal care. Our clients also benefit from the guidance of our in-house nutritionist, who can help support recovery and wellbeing through diet. We understand the importance of maintaining routines and social habits, so whether it’s helping someone get ready for an event, attend a church service, or feel confident before visitors arrive, we’re there. Because real personal care is about helping people feel safe, respected, and completely themselves.

We understand that it can be difficult accepting personal care and that is why you will be introduced to your Care Professionals and they will spend time getting to know you before assisting you with your personal care.
At Home Instead we ensure that each client has a small team of Care Professionals in place to provide you with care so you can be confident that you will have continuity from the same Care Professionals.
At Home Instead, we have a robust approach to ensuring that all Care Professionals have regular observations of practice that we call Support Visits, and assessments of competency for key activities such as handling medication or providing catheter care.
