Family Dementia Care Guide for Ukrainian refugees and host families

Our heart goes out to everyone affected by the war in Ukraine. But we particularly want to help the elderly population, especially those living with dementia.

It’s a condition that can cause feelings of confusion and anxiety even when in comfortable and familiar surroundings. There will be many Ukrainian refugees living with dementia who have no choice but to uproot from familiar surroundings, change their regular routine and be apart from certain loved ones.

We want to support the kind-hearted individuals in countries such as Poland who are taking in Ukrainian refugees living with dementia. Our Family Dementia Care Guide is designed for families who look after a loved one with dementia. We are providing a translation to provide host families with advice and insight into the complex condition.

We’re a home care company that looks after people across the world who live with dementia, and we work with leading experts to develop training for our Care Professionals. We hope our insights minimise distress and make life more bearable for refugees living with dementia and their host families.
