Celebrating the achievements of the Exeter & East Devon team
These take place seasonally and we do consider them vital, as they offer us a chance to collectively inform colleagues with regard to important procedural updates. They also allow the ability to refresh learning with a focus on a particular topic, which on this occasion were the vital subjects of Safeguarding and the CQC.
Although there are opportunities throughout the year, with Walk & Talk events, Menopause Meetups, Book Groups and more, the Team Meetings are also a valuable chance for our close-knit team to casually catch up with one another. Importantly, they also enable us to acknowledge the dedication and efforts of our wonderful staff members through our annual Awards.
During the Winter Meeting we congratulated those celebrating new work anniversaries, which included an 11 Year Service Award for Laura Grant, our General Manager and Registered Manager (featured in our cover photo, with Vanessa McGlade, Owner/Director, left).
We also announced the winners of our annual Team Awards, voted for by Exeter & East Devon colleagues. It takes a true team to provide the exceptional standard of care that our Company provides, and without question, our Care Professional and Key Player support team colleagues are the shining stars of the show.
Colleagues were invited to vote for a fellow Care Professional that has stood out as a positive force or has done an amazing job during the past year. Equally, if a Key Player has been particularly supportive or welcoming, team members could nominate the office support team member for the Key Player or the Year Award.
For 2023 our worthy winners included:
Look out for their Care Professional Catch Up features on the Local Blogs, News & Events section of our website in the coming months, as we showcase the talents of our diverse and dedicated team.
We recognise that the application process can be daunting for some, so please, tell us what you need to succeed, and we will do our best to support you. As an Age-Friendly Employer and being Disability Committed, we are here to help.
