We’re delighted to share some inspiring news from our team here at Home Instead Ealing. Two of our own have been recognised on a national stage, receiving finalist nominations at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care (WAGS) Awards.

This is an incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Leena Named Finalist: Home Care Business Woman of the Year

Our Director, Leena, has been shortlisted for Home Care Business Woman of the Year. This award celebrates women who are driving innovation, shaping high-quality care, and inspiring positive change across the sector.

Anyone who has worked with her knows how naturally she leads. Leena brings clarity, calm, and a deep commitment to person-centred care. She sets the tone for our whole team, championing independence for our clients, creating a supportive environment for our Care Professionals, and always striving for better.

Seeing her recognised by WAGS is a proud moment for all of us, but not at all a surprise.

Clare Recognised as a Rising Star in Home Care

We’re equally excited for Clare, our Care Professional Experience Manager, who has been named a finalist for the Rising Star Award.

Clare has a remarkable gift for spotting potential in others and nurturing it with patience, encouragement, and sincerity. She supports our Care Professionals from their very first day and is constantly creating ways to help them grow, feel valued, and build fulfilling careers in care.

Her enthusiasm lifts the whole office, and her dedication directly shapes the experience our clients receive. Being shortlisted as a Rising Star reflects the impact she’s already making and the bright future ahead of her.

What the WAGS Awards Represent

The WAGS Awards were created to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women across the social care sector. With over 85% of the workforce made up of women, WAGS aims to elevate the stories, leadership and resilience of those whose contributions often go unseen.

The awards also connect women leaders across the sector through events, conversations, and shared experiences, creating a supportive space where inspiration and empowerment can thrive.

For Leena and Clare to be named finalists among so many exceptional women is a significant honour.

Looking Ahead to the Gala Night

The awards celebration will take place on 2 December at Hilton Bankside, and excitement is already building here in Ealing. While neither Leena nor Clare seeks the spotlight, the whole team is delighted to shine it on them.

From the thoughtful mentoring conversations to the care they show behind the scenes, they bring heart and strength to our service every single day. Their nominations simply reflect what we already know: they are extraordinary.

A Huge Congratulations to Our Finalists

We’re all celebrating this moment with Leena and Clare. Their dedication, kindness, and leadership inspire us daily, and we’ll be cheering them on at the gala night.

Well done to you both – we couldn’t be prouder.
