Companionship care brings a friendly, familiar face into your loved one’s home – someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with them and helps them stay active, connected and independent. Our Care Professionals come from all sorts of backgrounds and many have been with us for years, giving clients the continuity and trust that makes such a difference. Each visit lasts at least an hour, so there’s quality time to have a chat, help with a bit of shopping, go for a walk around Conisbrough or Bawtry, or simply go for lunch together at a local garden centre. Unlike many care providers, we don’t wear uniforms. This means when we visit or out and about in Doncaster town centre or visiting a local cafe, it feels relaxed and natural – more like spending time with a friend or loved one.

We’re very particular about who joins our team. Every Care Professional is fully employed by us, thoroughly background-checked with multiple references, and receives comprehensive training before their first visit. We look after our staff well, supporting them throughout their careers and celebrating work anniversaries – which is why so many stay with us for years. This investment means clients benefit from experienced, confident Care Professionals who know how to do things with people rather than for them, promoting independence while keeping a close eye on overall wellbeing. Our team has spotted early signs of things like infections, falls risks or memory changes, alerting families before small concerns become bigger problems.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of a unique mix of services to meet your needs.

Yvonne S, writing on homecare.co.uk, described how her mother “formed relationships with carers who soon became used to the way she liked things done.” She appreciated that staff “listened to her (and us) regarding the little things that mean so much, especially when things were becoming increasingly scary due to our mam’s memory failing her.” Elizabeth M echoed this, saying the care staff have been “wonderful with my dad” and that both her parents “enjoy their company and appreciate their care and kindness.” That’s what companionship care is really about – building genuine relationships that bring comfort, company and a bit of joy into everyday life.

Jade Ebden, our Operations Manager with over 20 years in care, and Nina Hanson, our Client Experience and Quality Lead, oversee every aspect of companionship care in Doncaster. The training our Care Professionals receive covers not just practical skills but also how to build meaningful relationships, spot subtle changes in health or mood, and adapt support as needs evolve. Our office team is always available if you need to adjust schedules, ask questions, or discuss how care is going – we’re here to support families just as much as we support clients.
Staying connected to the community is a big part of what we do. Our Sporting Friendship Group meets every Tuesday morning at Knights Rugby Club in Armthorpe, and twice a month we host Friendship Lunches at The Highwayman in Woodlands and Woodfield Farm in Balby – relaxed gatherings with food, entertainment and good company. Many of our Care Professionals help clients attend these events, or might take them to local spots they’ve always loved. Being active and visible in Doncaster means we understand the community our clients live in, and we can help them stay part of it.
