Be A Santa - Home Instead collects Christmas gifts for AgeUK and Salvation Army

Home Instead have been collecting Christmas gifts for those in our community that don’t receive much at Christmas in our annual Be A Santa campaign.

Our Director, Robbie Jones, and Community Engagement Officer, Molly Broughton, were delighted to deliver the gifts to Age UK and The Salvation Army yesterday.

The photos show Robbie with local Age UK Operations Manager, Shaun Britton, at Bradbury House in Darlington and with church leader, Adam Silcock, at The Salvation Army Citadel on Thompson Street East in Darlington.

“We have been collecting at Morrisons stores in Darlington and their customers have been incredibly generous” says Robbie. “We have been at Morrisons North Road and Morrisons Morton Park and we are really grateful to their Community Champions for helping us set this up every year.”

“At Home Instead we love to help our local community across Darlington and these gifts will go to people living alone and without family. It’s nice to spread some good cheer and festive spirit” adds Robbie.

This year we have also been collecting in Barnard Castle – more about that in next week’s blog.
