Local at-home care company, Home Instead Senior Care in Ormskirk has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Early Intervention and Prevention category of the prestigious Laing & Buisson 2014 Independent Specialist Care Awards. These National Awards showcase the very best in care services.
The Early Intervention and Prevention award is given to the individual or team who have delivered an effective preventive service that has enabled individuals to remain independent for longer.
As specialists in providing care for adults and older people, enabling them to stay in their own homes for longer, Home Instead’s award submission focused on the unique way in which we concentrate on person centred care which is based around the clients’ actual needs, continuity in regular care staff, recruitment & specialist training of care staff and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Commenting on the nomination, Gail Godson, who co-owns and runs Home Instead Senior Care in Ormskirk said, “It is such a privilege to be selected as a finalist for this prestigious award. The vast majority of us in the local community have been very independent all our adult life and typically want to remain living at home for as long as possible. Early Intervention and Prevention is such a vital part of our high quality at-home care service, we train all the staff to identify and escalate areas of potential concern around their clients general health and well-being, care staff work very hard each day in support of our clients and the Early Intervention and Prevention culture combined with our excellent family relationships continues to help prevent many of them from being unnecessarily taken into A&E or admitted into Hospital.
"This is a very competitive category so we are particularly thrilled to have been successfully selected to go forward to the final judging panel. We are passionate about delivering high quality and value added care services, whilst helping to raise health and social care standards across West Lancashire, I am also particularly pleased that the consistency and quality of the whole team’s hard work, has been externally recognised in this way.”
Everyone at Home Instead Senior Care now has their fingers crossed for March, when the winner will be announced at a Gala Dinner in London.
