Walking with Purpose: Leanne’s Mighty Hike for a Meaningful Cause

At our organisation, care goes far beyond the workplace. It’s something our team carries into the wider community and our Care Manager, Leanne Read, is a perfect example of that.
Leanne is taking on the Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike, a challenging fundraising walk in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause that means a great deal to her personally.
Leanne’s Story
Leanne is pushing herself to raise £250 or more to support Macmillan’s incredible work, ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.
Right now, almost 3.5 million people in the UK are living with cancer and that number continues to grow. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a life that has been deeply affected.
This challenge is especially meaningful to Leanne. She is taking on the hike alongside her mum, in memory of loved ones they have lost over time, and in recognition of the vital support Macmillan provides during the most difficult moments.
Macmillan offers practical, emotional, and financial support to those living with cancer, as well as to the people who care about them. As Leanne shares, the impact of this support is truly life-changing, not just for patients, but for families too.
Why Your Support Matters
Macmillan relies on donations to continue their essential work. Every contribution helps ensure that people facing cancer have access to guidance, care, and someone to stand beside them when they need it most.
