There’s nothing quite like a good cup of coffee shared with friends — and thanks to a £500 grant from Home Instead Chingford, even more local older adults can enjoy just that!

Home Instead Chingford is delighted to support Age UK Waltham Forest’s Coffee Club with a £500 grant, helping the club continue its invaluable work in bringing local older people together for companionship, laughter, and a sense of community.
The award was made by Home Instead Charities and was made possible by fundraising from the Home Instead Chingford Office.
Home Instead Charities is the charitable arm of Home Instead UK, dedicated to improving the lives of ageing adults and helping them to live fulfilled, connected, and independent lives. Their mission is simple but powerful — to end loneliness and isolation among older people.
The charity funds local community groups and initiatives that make a real difference, supporting activities that help older adults stay active, engaged, and socially connected. From lunch clubs and exercise classes to arts sessions and befriending services, the charity works alongside local Home Instead offices to reach as many people as possible across the UK. With Home Instead Chingford having raised over £850.00 this year towards the initiatives.

The Age UK Waltham Forest Coffee Club is a much-loved weekly event where older members of the community can come together in a warm, friendly environment to enjoy a cup of coffee, conversation, and company. It’s a vital social lifeline for many who might otherwise feel isolated or lonely.
Thanks to the £500 grant from Home Instead Charities, supported by the fundraising efforts of Home Instead Chingford, the Coffee Club can continue to offer its welcoming sessions and even expand its reach to new members in the community.
The Coffee Club takes place every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm at the Waltham Forest Resource Hub North, located at 58 Hall Lane in Chingford E4 8EU. It’s completely free to attend, and there’s no need to book. Just drop in, say hello, and enjoy a warm drink in good company. You might even catch our Community Engagement Officer, Graham, if he’s there!

At Home Instead Chingford, we believe that ageing should be celebrated and that every older adult deserves to live life with dignity, connection, and joy. Supporting local initiatives like the Coffee Club aligns perfectly with our mission to enhance the lives of older people — not just through the care we provide, but through active involvement in our community.
We are proud to stand alongside Age UK Waltham Forest and Home Instead Charities in promoting companionship, community, and kindness — one cup of coffee at a time.
