A Shining Star in Care: Shanele Praised by NHS Paramedic

At Home Instead, we believe that compassion, dedication, and genuine human connection are the heart of quality care — and this week, we were thrilled to see that belief brought to life in the most wonderful way.

We’re overjoyed to share that our very own CarePro Shanele Riley has been commended by NHS Paramedic Rob Lumsden for the exceptional care she provided to one of her clients. Rob, who attended an emergency call-out initiated by Shanele, was so impressed that he felt compelled to share just how extraordinary her care was.

In his own words, Rob said he was “genuinely blown away by the superb standard of care she delivered.” He praised Shanele for her “exceptional compassion, extraordinary attention to detail, and unwavering commitment” to her client. Her calm and reassuring presence, he said, ensured that her elderly client felt safe, supported, and cared for — not just physically, but emotionally too.

Shanele’s commitment went even further — she even offered to accompany the client to hospital to make sure they weren’t alone. Thankfully, the care could continue safely at home, but her heartfelt offer didn’t go unnoticed.
