Meet Ozzie- Home Instead Charnwoods New Office “Intern” 🐾💚

We have welcomed the cutest new recruit to the Home Instead Charnwood office this week… and he’s already made a lasting impression! Meet Ozzie 🐶

While he may not answer the phones or manage the rota (yet!), Ozzie has certainly mastered the art of boosting morale. From enthusiastic tail wags at the door to well-timed cuddle breaks during busy moments, he has brought so much joy into the office for both our office team and our Care Professionals.

There’s something incredibly special about the atmosphere when a dog is around. Smiles come more easily. Conversations feel lighter. Even the busiest days feel just that little bit brighter. But beyond the obvious cuteness, there are real benefits to being an animal-friendly workplace.

Research shows that dogs in the workplace can help reduce stress levels, lower anxiety, and improve overall wellbeing. A quick cuddle between calls, stepping outside for a short walk, or simply having a calm and comforting presence nearby can make a meaningful difference, particularly in a sector like care, where compassion and emotional energy are at the heart of everything we do.

As a team dedicated to supporting others, it’s equally important that we create an environment that supports each other too. Prioritising wellbeing isn’t just a nice idea, it’s essential. If welcoming a four-legged friend into the office helps lift spirits and strengthen team connection, then we are all for it! Ozzie may only be with us for the week, but the happiness he has brought into the office will certainly last much longer.
