Our Trustees
Home Instead Charities is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of experienced, dedicated and committed people who have the best interests of our charity at heart.

Martin is passionate about making a difference to older people’s lives. Alongside his role as CEO, Martin also sits on the board of Age UK, the country’s leading charity aiding elderly people. He is also Chairman of the Silver Line, a charity which strives to end loneliness among seniors, a Trustee of The Care Workers Charity, which exists to support the welfare of current, former, and retired care workers. Marin also sits on the board of the UKHCA, the professional association of home care providers.

Diana is the founder of Calvin Marketing and a Trustee for Home Instead Charities. She has many charitable interests and experience of working on charity boards, bringing this fundraising knowledge to the charity. Diana is dedicated to educational development, serving on the boards of Schools for Kenya and Wilmslow Preparatory School.

Luke is the owner of the Home Instead York franchise, moving to the home care sector after working in the banking and telecommunications industry for 12 years. Luke has previous experience of working on a charity board, being appointed as a trustee for the York Centre for Voluntary Service in September 2019.

Clare is the owner of the ‘Outstanding’ rated Home Instead franchise in Wimbledon. Clare has a breadth of experience in charity work including serving as a trustee for her local Age UK branch, an active member of the Dementia Strategy Group at Kingston Hospital, and as a Committee Member of MacMillan Cancer Merton branch.

Our Charity Team

Penny is the Executive Director of the Home Instead Charities, having joined in January 2020. Penny brings with her a wealth of experience in the charity sector, with previous roles including the Head of Corporate Funding for Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, and Deputy CEO of Lancashire Mind.

Our Charity team is wholly funded by Home Instead which means every penny you raise to support our charity is spent on furthering its objectives and making grant awards to local community groups and charities with the aim of ending loneliness and isolation in our ageing adult population.
