How we do it
Chronic loneliness affects 1.4 million ageing adults in the UK. Here is how we are fighting to end this.

What we do

We fundraise
Our network of Home Instead Offices, along with our external partners, fundraise to support community groups and charities..

We partner with local community groups and charities
We partner with small groups who may not be able to afford their own marketing or fundraising teams. We fund projects to help keep ageing adults connected to their communities.

Our services
In 2021, Home Instead Charities funded activities for over 20,000 ageing adults. We helped them stay connected to their communities throughout lockdowns and helped to rebuild their confidence and support networks when restrictions eased.

Are you a local charity looking to deliver community initiatives?
We provide grants to local community groups who support the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of ageing adults. Take a look at our eligibility criteria to see if we can fund your initiative.

Fear of being scammed and lack of digital confidence are just 2 reasons why so many older adults are reluctant users of tech. At HI Charities tech cafes, our trained volunteers combine technology with traditional activities, such as music, crafts and quizzes. This approach allows older adults to steadily build tech skills around activities they already excel in.

Just because you are older, doesn’t mean you can’t do stuff.
