In 2024, our Dementia-Friendly Morning Matinees at the Everyman Cinema Winchester continued to grow in popularity, bringing joy, connection, and comfort to so many in our community. Together, we helped raise £844.85 for Dementia-Friendly Winchester – a fantastic achievement that was only possible thanks to your kindness and support.
We’re hugely grateful to Everyman Cinema Winchester for their partnership in making these free monthly screenings welcoming and inclusive for all. With a relaxed atmosphere, gentle sound, and classic films that spark memories, these mornings have become a much-loved part of the calendar.
We’re now delighted to share the film schedule for 2025:
Wednesday 2nd July: Hunt for Red October
A Soviet submarine captain attempts to defect to the U.S. with a cutting-edge nuclear sub, sparking a tense Cold War pursuit.
Wednesday 6th August: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Two showgirls set sail for Paris, mixing romance, comedy, and gold-digging schemes along the way.
Wednesday 3rd September: Liar Liar
A fast-talking lawyer is forced to tell the truth for 24 hours after his son’s birthday wish comes true.
Wednesday 1st October: Road to Morocco
Bing Crosby and Bob Hope stumble into exotic misadventures, romance, and comedy on their way to Morocco.
Wednesday 5th November: The Pink Panther, 1964
An inept French inspector bumbles through a jewel-heist caper involving the priceless Pink Panther diamond.
Wednesday 3rd December: Holiday Inn
A performer opens an inn that operates only on holidays, where music, romance, and Irving Berlin songs take centre stage.
