Great spots to have breakfast out

Whether you’re away from home on a holiday or a local looking for a treat, there's always some-thing that’s a little bit special about eating out.

Whether you’re away from home on a holiday or a local looking for a treat, there’s always something that’s a little bit special about eating out. While many may choose to get together over lunch or an evening meal, we think that there’s something great about going out for breakfast. If you’re into the full English, there’s nothing better than experiencing the delicious smells as they waft by. What’s even better is knowing that you have none of the washing up that follows! Being waited on at breakfast time can leave you feeling like a king or queen.

Of course, it’s not all about the full English. There are some who enjoy the continental style breakfast, as well as those who are looking for vegan options. That’s the great thing about Cannock though: no matter what your tastes, there is somewhere that can cater for you. Let’s have a look at some of the best spots where you can sit back and enjoy your breakfast.

Bradshaws Farm – Rugeley

This has to be our first choice when it comes to dining out for breakfast. What’s great here is that Bradshaw’s isn’t just about breakfast. It is about a day out and having an experience. There are animal experiences to be had and, close by, you can get up close and very personal with some alpacas. There is also a farm shop here. You can lose yourself browsing through the local produce and being tempted by everything that you lay your eyes upon. With locally produced meats, jams, produce, and more, everything sold here comes from here.

When it comes to breakfast, the best bet here is the full English. Bradshaw’s are established butchers and this means that you get to experience the very best in terms of sausages, bacon, and black pudding. As well as great food, you’ll also find that the service is amazing and this provides another reason why you’ll soon want to go back.

Cigno café Burntwood

Now, obviously, we’re looking at breakfast here, and Cigno provides a great breakfast, but this is also a great spot to enjoy an amazing cup of coffee. There is something magical about the aroma here and it’s one that you won’t forget after your first visit. In terms of a menu, you can get hold of everything that you’d expect when eating breakfast out. You only have to take a peek at the website and read the feedback to get an understanding of the quality of food that you’ll be served.

Cigno café has previously won awards and it has a reputation that is second to none. If you decide to try this place out for yourself, and we seriously recommend that you do, then the best bet is to book in advance. This place is so popular, even at breakfast time, that just turning up without a booking could leave you disappointed (as well as extremely hungry!).

Mims Cafe and Coffee Bar

Perhaps a slightly odd sounding name, but definitely one of the best breakfasts that you’ll experience in Cannock. Many locals refer to it as being the best cafe in the area and you’ll find numerous glowing reviews. What makes Mims so popular is that it’s inviting from the oft. It looks simply stunning from the outside and, as you enter, you find a quaint little setting with an atmosphere that is hard to beat. While there’s plenty to choose from when it comes to breakfast (including vegetarian and vegan options) there also a great menu that covers brunch, lunch, and evening meals. Once you’ve experienced breakfast, you’ll certainly want to be coming back to try out the rest of the menu.

What tops of the experience here, apart from the carrot cake to die for, is the customer service. The owner, and every single member of staff, go out of their way too ensure that you feel welcome. There’s nothing that’s too much trouble, with good old fashioned customer service being at the heart of all that they do.

Toby Carvery – Norton Canes

Okay, so you can find a Toby Carvery in probably every major city and town in the UK, so you may be wondering why we’re including it here. The simple answer is that Toby Carvery represents extraordinary value for money, especially if there are a few of you dining together. You’re only looking at around £5 per person and for that, it’s a case of all you can eat.

You’ll find many of the staples of a traditional breakfast while at a Toby Carvery, but you’ll also come across something a little unique: Yorkshire puddings. Now, this isn’t an item that you’d usually serve up for a breakfast, but there is just something about it that works.

Whatever your plans may be for the day, you can be sure that a visit here will leave you feeling full up and ready to go. The portion sizes may even mean that you can save even more money by skipping on lunch.

Bella’s Coffee House and Community Café – Hednesford

This choice of dining out for breakfast is a little different to the others. At Bella’s, they operate on a not for profit basis. The focus is all on providing amazing food and creating a hub for the community. One thing that really stands out here is the amazing staff. Not only are they polite and courteous, but they’re also extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the food and drink that they serve. Everything is ethically and locally sourced and they’ll proudly tell you all about it.

With porridge, pancakes, traditional English, and vegan options, this is a setting that caters for everyone. That’s what is really special about Bella’s: it really is an inclusive setting that is looking to welcome everyone through its doors.

Whether it’s the top-notch food that you come for or the thought of supporting a great cause, you’re not going to be disappointed with your experience.
