Home Instead Santa-gram campaign delivers again
Local schools, businesses and community groups joined our 2023 Santa-gram campaign to bring some festive cheer to elderly people in Calderdale.
Local primary schools across Calderdale helped make over 700 Santa-grams for our 2023 Christmas campaign. We received some fantastic creations and hand-written messages from four local schools and delivered them to the elderly across Calderdale with help from Calderdale Dementia Hub, Age UK, Riverside Cafe Ripponden, Memory Lane Cafe, churches and local pharmacies and podiatrists.
The schools involved were Greetland Academy, Holy Trinity Primary in Halifax, Longroyde Primary in Rastrick and All Saints CE Junior in Skircoat Green.
Local Knit & Natter Group at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church created warm blankets and twiddle muffs for people with dementia. We handed them to patients at Calderdale and Huddersfield Royal Infirmaries.
