Dementia Action Week Open Day – Join us on Wednesday 20 May

To mark Dementia Action Week we are partnering with Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees to host an open event for people with dementia, their carers and families.
Dementia Action Week (organised by the Alzheimer’s Society) takes place from 18 to 24 May and focuses on improving dementia diagnosis rates and supporting the one million people projected to be living with dementia in the UK.
To mark the week and help raise awareness of dementia in Calderdale, we are partnering with Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees to host an open event for anyone who is living with dementia, has past experience of dementia, is a carer or simply wants to learn more.
Join us from 1pm on Wednesday 20 May at Rimani House, Hall Street, Halifax HX1 5BD for fun games, singing, food tastings and short informative talks.
There will be time during the day to meet with advisers from local organisations. Joining us on the day are:

Memory Lane Cafe
Overgate Hospice’s dementia team
