This week at Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate & Margate, we were absolutely delighted to host our quarterly networking session — and what a fantastic morning it was! We welcomed an amazing group of professionals from across our local community, all coming together with one shared goal: supporting the people of Thanet.

The room was full of energy, ideas, and genuinely uplifting conversations as we focused on a topic that matters deeply to us all — dementia. It was so inspiring to hear different perspectives, share experiences, and explore how, together, we can continue to improve the support available locally.

Dementia is on the rise, and it’s something that’s touching more and more families in our community. Importantly, we’re also seeing younger adults, even those in their 50s, beginning to navigate this journey — often unexpectedly. That’s why it’s more important than ever that we create a community that is understanding, inclusive, and ready to support people at every stage.

At Home Instead Broadstairs, we’re incredibly passionate about making Thanet a place where people living with dementia feel supported, valued, and truly part of their community — no matter their age.

We’re also working behind the scenes on some exciting new dementia-focused initiatives, and we can’t wait to share more with you very soon… so definitely watch this space!
