Care Professional Yasmin Crouch, of Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate & Margate has received the Care Professional of the Year Award 2025! This well-deserved award was not just for years of service, but a deep dedication to going above and beyond – even in the most challenging circumstances.

Yasmin’s Journey

Yasmin’s journey in care is truly inspiring. Starting her career at 18, she sought a flexible role as a young mother and found her passion in domiciliary care, helping people remain in their own homes. Yasmin has been with Home Instead for nearly 11 years, where she’s earned admiration from both clients and colleagues.

More than a Job: A commitment to People

One standout example of Yasmin’s dedication was her decision to skydive – despite never having been on a plane – to raise £1,000 for Home Instead and the Alzheimer’s Society, showing just how far she’s willing to go to support the vulnerable.

Her commitment extends far beyond fundraising; when her car broke down, she walked over 20 miles in a day to remote areas and ensured none of her clients missed their care. Her priority has always been clear: her client’s come first.

Changing Lives

Yasmin’s Compassion has also transformed lives. In 2020, she supported Shane, a stroke survivor who had lost mobility and speech. Her daily care played a key role in his initial recovery, helping him regain movement and normalcy. After a second stroke in 2023 left Shane fully immobile, Yasmin once again stepped in, tirelessly assisting him. Today, Shane can sit upright, move his limbs, eat independently and hold full conversations – progress that’s a testament to Yasmin’s dedication.

Yasmin’s actions exemplify Home Instead’s values, and the extraordinary impact one person can have on their community. We’re honoured to have her on our team and beyond proud to celebrate her achievement as Care Professional of the Year 2025!
