Dementia Action Week this year falls on 13-19 May 2024, and marks a time for us all to come together across the UK, in the North of Bristol and South Gloucestershire to elevate dementia awareness and action within our local communities. For us at Home Instead Bristol North, it is an opportunity to shine a light on our commitment to personalised dementia care at home and our community activities and support for those living with dementia and their caregivers.

This event is particularly for those caring for others who live with dementia, or if you have concerns for yourself or a loved one, about memory issues, a diagnosis of dementia, or simply wish to learn about local support services, this public event is tailored just for you.

Let’s Talk Dementia Events
In a joint venture with Bristol Dementia Action Alliance, BRACE, and Alive!, we are proud to support the Let’s Talk Dementia event at the Watershed. Booking a free ticket online here is advised but not necessary.

The day, starting at 10.30 am, will be opened by the ITV newsreader, Seb Choudhury. Come along whenever suits you and stay for as long as you wish. The event boasts a full agenda with valuable information sessions, stalls, and workshops designed to deepen your understanding of dementia and the community assets that can support you. Our own Care Professional Andy, alongside our owner Andrew and Em from recruitment, will be there to share insights, answer questions, and provide guidance – do come and say hello.
During these events, we encourage you to absorb as much as you can from the shared knowledge and experiences. It is our hope that you will leave feeling more equipped to navigate the journey of dementia care, whether as a family member, friend, or caregiver.
