Tea and Something Lovely:

Home instead Brighton, Hove, and Shoreham have been hosting Tea and Something Lovely events since September 2021, shortly after the Covid restrictions were lifted. We wanted to provide our elderly community with a free event where they could socialise and relax in a welcoming environment.

Each session includes tea, cake, entertainment, and time to chat with others. We welcome people with all abilities. We’ve had some fantastic entertainers in the past, including Moving Sounds, Dementia Singing Experience (East Sussex), and Silver Strings Band.

The Hop 50+ Cafe:

Open several days a week, it serves as a cosy spot for a home-cooked meal and a dedicated time for those living with dementia, promoting a sense of community and support.

They serve a home-cooked main meal between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Snack menu is available throughout the day. Wednesday mornings are a dedicated time for individuals with dementia.
