Read and Reminisce in Brighton

Home Instead Brighton, Hove & Shoreham is pleased to announce the launch of an inclusive storytelling group, ‘Read and Reminisce’, which is especially for adults with dementia

Getting older, or having a dementia diagnosis, doesn’t mean you can no longer enjoy reading. Home Instead Brighton, Hove & Shoreham are pleased to announce the launch of an inclusive storytelling group, ‘Read and Reminisce’, which is especially for adults with dementia.

Each session involves using a special non-fiction book, where each participant will read a page out loud and the words stimulate free-flowing discussion and conversation. Home Instead welcome all reading abilities to this group and are happy for carers to join if they wish.

The sessions will take place every Friday from 2:15pm-3:15pm and will commence on 14 April 2023. This is a free service from Home Instead, available for up to six participants. Each session is 45 minutes.

Location: The Hop Stop Café on St John’s Road, Palmeira Square, BN3 2FL
