Introducing our brand new 'What’s On Where' Guide for Shoreham, Portslade, Hangleton & Hove

This guide is your gateway to everything our wonderful local community has to offer...
…whether you’re looking to meet new people, try something different, or simply enjoy a cup of tea and friendly conversation.
Why we created the guide
We know that our local area is full of fantastic groups, activities, and support services but finding them all in one place isn’t always easy. That’s why we created the ‘What’s On Where’ Guide, to make it simple to discover what’s happening near you.
At Home Instead Brighton, Hove & Shoreham, we’re passionate about helping older adults live well, independently, and happily at home. A big part of that is staying socially connected. Loneliness and isolation can have a real impact on wellbeing, but the good news is that even small steps, like joining a group or attending a local event, can make a huge difference.
What you’ll find inside

It’s never too late to try something new
Trying a new activity doesn’t have to mean a big leap. It could be as simple as:
- Visiting a local café you’ve never been to before
- Joining a weekly group for a chat
- Taking part in a gentle exercise class
- Exploring a new hobby
- These small steps can boost confidence, improve wellbeing, and open the door to meaningful connections.
We understand that getting out and about can sometimes feel daunting. That’s why our Care Professionals are here not just to provide support, but companionship too – helping clients attend activities, build confidence, and enjoy new experiences. Because sometimes, having someone by your side makes all the difference.
