Tea & Talk Cafes

Home Instead Basingstoke runs three Tea & Talk cafes each month:

In Tadley, at the Methodist Church Hall, Main Road, Tadley RG26 3NU, on the third Friday of each month at 2.00-3.30pm.  The dates for the rest of 2019 are:

  • Friday 19th July 
  • Friday 16th August 
  • Friday 20th September 
  • Friday 18th October 
  • Friday 15th November 
  • Friday 20th December

In Old Basing, at the Parish Rooms, St Mary’s Church, Church Lane, Old Basing RG24 7DJ, on the fourth Monday of each month at 2.15-3.45pm.  The dates for the rest of 2019 are: 

  •  Monday 29th July
  •  Monday 19th August 
  •  Monday 23rd September 
  •  Monday 28th October 
  •  Monday 25th November 
  •  Monday 16th December

In Beggarwood, at the Beggarwood Community Centre’s “Café in the Park”, Broadmere Road, Basingstoke  RG22 4AQ, on the first Friday of each month at 10.00am - 2.00pm.  The dates are:

  • Friday 5th July
  • Subsequent dates have yet to be confirmed, please check with us.

Our cafes are free and are intended to provide opportunities for anyone with memory loss or dementia, together with carers and family, as well as any other elderly members of the local community who are just looking for company, to meet up, reminisce, share experiences or just get out of the house.

These are informal and unstructured sessions with refreshments and access to information. No need to book. No need to stay for the whole session. Everyone’s welcome, why not just pop in and say hello ?
