Home Instead Senior Care Barnet, has taken part in the Journey through Dementia event at the Sangham Centre in Burnt Oak.

Dale Bevington, Director of Home Instead Senior Care in Barnet, gave a talk on Dementia at the hugely successful event which was attended by over 200 people, including the Mayoress of Barnet Melissa Shooter.

The talk was followed by an award winning play that depicts the story of a family coming to grips with Dementia. This uplifting production has been performed around London and enjoyed much success winning the Dementia & the Arts Award at the International Dementia Awards 2015.

Commenting on the event, Dale Bevington of Home Instead said, “As specialists in at-home care for older people, a number of our clients are diagnosed with, or have symptoms of, Alzheimer’s disease, and it is important that we do as much as possible to improve their quality of life.

“Working with the local community in events like this is a fantastic way for us to raise awareness about the growing issue of dementia and to share the knowledge which we have gained as a company.”
