“Home Instead are excellent. The caregivers take a real genuine interest in my Mother and are very reliable, encouraging her to eat/drink, helping with personal care, making soup, washing dishes and tidying the kitchen. The Office Staff/Managers give regular updates and has changed times or added extra hours to suit my needs. It has enabled me to go out and buy groceries, help at the youth club and go on a weekend away, knowing that my Mum was getting well cared for. Also the training, care planning and client journal records are very professional …”

“The care I receive from Home Instead is really good. Now I have a clean tidy home, my grocery delivery is put away, my ironing is done and my letters posted. Many other things that I find difficult to do are carried put cheerfully and willingly by my caregiver. My caregiver is well matched to my needs and the worry about coping alone has diminished. She is a kindly, caring person who never rushes me and I enjoy her company. My caregiver gives me the support I need to continue living at home and I look forward to her visits.”

“The Home Instead staff are lovely – friendly and professional. Mum, who is 99, loves the attention and the time they can spend, not just doing the caring tasks but chatting, laughing, reminiscing. Can’t recommend them enough!”

Client welcoming Care Professional - Home Instead

“I am the Monitoring Officer for domiciliary care services within the Southern Trust. I can confirm that on recent visits with Home Instead care agency all client’s found to be happy with care staff and administrative staff including Roisin McLeod registered care manager.

Service users and families praised the agency for their high standard of communication in those instances where there was any changes in times etc. All families of the service users visited could not recommend the agency highly enough.

In preparation for visits Roisin and her team dealt with my information requests in a timely manner and there was no issues noted in obtaining any records.  If the administrative staff could not help they ensured a timely follow up by Roisin.

The nature of my post requires regular contact with the agency and to date I have not encountered any issues with their communication or willingness to provide any information that has been requested of them in a timely manner.”

“I would happily recommend Una, Roisin and all at Home Instead (Banbridge, Newry & Mourne). Getting gradually more frail, and following a lengthy spell in hospital, it was clear my mum needed help. Once we’d got in touch, the process was very easy. As care manager, Roisin cane out to the house, met both myself and my mum and fully discussed our needs. She then quickly arranged a first-rate team of carers – Linda, Jackie, May and Maria – all of whom were polite, punctual and a pleasure to have around. Most importantly, they took a genuine interest in my mum and, coming and going, were always respectful to both her and her home – thank you so much again.”
