The Village Methodist Church is always open to you
The Village Methodist Church was officially formed on 1st September 2024 — a joining together of two longstanding congregations, Sale Moor Methodist Church and Trinity Methodist Church. The church now meets in the beautiful 150-year-old Sale Moor building on Northenden Road, right beside Worthington Road.
As part of the Trafford Methodist Circuit, The Village is one of several churches serving communities across Altrincham, Hale, Timperley, Sale, Partington, Stretford, and Urmston. But here in Sale Moor, The Village Methodist Church has quickly become a much-loved hub of warmth, activity, and community support.
The Village Café opened in September 2024 and runs every Monday from 11am to 1pm (except Bank Holidays). It’s lovingly run by members of the church and friends of the congregation. Offering hot drinks, homemade soup and rolls, scones with jam, toasted tea cakes, and a selection of cakes — all at affordable prices — the café is a perfect place to enjoy good company and a warm welcome.

Fridays at The Village are full of energy and music. The Friday Sing-Along Club at 10:15am, led by accomplished pianist Margaret, is a joyful morning of music and conversation over a cuppa and biscuit.

Later in the day at 12 noon, the Friday Diner serves up a delicious two-course hot meal (main and dessert) with a hot drink for just £5. With seating for 40, this long-running tradition is so popular it even has a waiting list!
