Happy 99th. Birthday, Tim!

This week, we had the privilege of celebrating a truly remarkable milestone with one of our wonderful clients, Tim, who turned 99. The occasion was marked with a joyful gathering in his own home, where he was surrounded by the people who matter most – his family, friends, and his dedicated Home Instead care team.

Tim receives live-in care, supported by additional hourly visits – to cover for when his live-in carer takes a break – to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout the day. It’s this thoughtful, well-coordinated approach that allows him to continue living life on his own terms. In the photo from his celebration, Tim can be seen raising a well deserved glass of champagne alongside Jade (Care Manager), Jo O (Live-In Care Manager), Anna (Deputy Manager), his live-in carer Irena, and hourly carer Thyon – our amazing team that plays an essential role in his daily life.

What makes Tim’s story even more special is his deep connection to his home. Having lived there since the 1980s, it’s a place filled with memories, comfort, and familiarity. As he often says, it’s somewhere he “never wants to leave.” Supporting that wish is at the heart of everything we do, and moments like this are a powerful reminder of why it matters.

Thanks to the dedication and compassion of his care team, Tim continues to live well, safely, and happily in the home he loves. And judging by the smile on his face, we think it’s safe to say he’s thriving.
