The big heart of our Care Professional who is joining an equally big hearted client in knitting for Ukraine.
Aren’t these little knits lovely? Our Client, Sheila, has recently knitted these lovely scarfs, baby bonnets and little jumper. Her Home Instead Care Professional, Marion, asked Sheila for the pattern and Marion then made the beautiful, tiny premature baby bonnets to donate too.
They have now delivered the knits to the Ukrainian collection point in Hungerford to be sent out to the Ukrainian families.
Well done to both Sheila and Marion on creating such lovely items for such a good cause. Another example of our team members (and, of course, our clients) having BIG hearts! 🩷
And as we are talking about Marion and her big heart (and brave heart….), we thought we would remind you that Marion, last year, jumped out of a plane in the name of charity! Marion was raising money for Macmillan Caring Locally (formerly known as The Macmillan Cancer Trust), a remarkable charity dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. From the photo, she looks delighted as she’s flying through the air and raised just under £1,000.00 for this incredibly worthy cause. We are very proud of Marion’s achievement – not only raising a wonderful sum of money for charity, but also for doing a skydive, something many of us aren’t quite brave enough to do!!
Marion is a prime example of the team we have here at Home Instead – always giving and thinking of others. Always trying their best to help where they can. Its so important we have Marion’s in this world – it makes it a better place. Thank you, Marion.
