Growing old can bring challenges, both for the person who’s ageing and for their family. It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. At the same time, it might be worrying for their family as they might not be able to be there whenever their loved ones need them.
Home Instead Maidenhead, Henley & Wallingford
Your home is where you feel the most comfortable and the happiest. It’s the place you know the best. Why would you move away from the place you love if you are faced with needing some extra care and support as you age? If you want to stay living comfortably at home, we can help you make that choice an informed one. We are Home Instead Senior Care. We are changing the UK’s attitude to care and to ageing with our distinctive approach to supporting people at home.

Home Instead Maidenhead have produced a comprehensive guide to What's on Where in the local area specifically for older people. The guide, which is currently being distributed to Home Instead Clients but also to local support groups and community centres, lists coffee mornings, exercise classes, hobby groups, societies and lunch clubs available to those living in and around Maidenhead. It lists times, dates locations plus a contact name and number so people can find out a little more about a group that interests them. We know that much of this information is only accessible via the internet which isn't always easy to find, so thought we could collate all the details and display them on one easy to use, fold out leaflet that can be displayed at centres and picked up to keep at home for reference. We hope this will go some way in tackling isolation and loneliness in older generations by giving people ideas as to where they can go to spend time with like minded people and have a little fun. If you would like a copy of our guide or would like your club/society listed in our next edition, please call 01628 299 097 and ask for a copy - we'll be happy to drop one through your door or email firstname.lastname@example.org
