CAREGivers join in 'meal in a mug challenge'

We regularly invite our CAREGivers in for team meetings - it gives us an opportunity to share local news and national news from Home Instead and important information. As we recently marked Nutrition and Hydration week, it was a great opportunity to continue with the #StayNourished theme so, as part of this agenda, we invited our CAREGivers to rise to the 'meal in a mug' challenge.

Nutrition is so important in older age but preparing healthy, tasty food doesn't have to be time consuming. Our CAREGivers worked in teams to prepare goats cheese quiche and chocolate puddings - all requiring just a few simple ingredients, a microwave and a mug. The results were delicious and helped CAREGivers see how even during the most busy of care calls, they can still produce something freshly prepared and tempting for their client in a short space of time.

Home Instead's #StayNourished campaign highlights the value of food and drink and drink to promote health and wellbeing in older age.
