It can be frustrating for our loved ones because they can’t do everything they used to and feel like they’re losing their independence. Our very own clients, Anna and Matteo (Nonna and Nonno) from Bedford, were on the news this morning! They really are a fabulous couple, so positive and fun. All of the guests during that article were fabulous! They were giving tips on staying occupied , connecting with loved ones and the importance of staying home and staying safe. The article also featured the video of Anna and Matteo playing hide and seek, filmed by our CAREGiver
We are all living in a challenging time at present, however that isn't preventing our amazing team of CAREGivers from standing strong, in continuing to provide the highest quality care possible. The amount of positive comments and thank yous that we have been receiving, from the clients and their families, are overwhelming! One family member said "I want to thank you and the team for all the support both before and after Dad went into hospital, it really did keep him in good spirits and was a great help to us!!" Another message was passed onto us that read "Wanted to drop you a quick note, and say thank you and the team for your help, you must be working very hard to keep everyone safe at the minute, and it's much appreciated. Mum and Dad have been very happy so far with the care being provided and they really like Suzi. She is doing a great job with Dad, I always think it's nice and helpful to give and get feedback". It's always amazing and reassuring to get such good comments, which we love to pass onto our team, to show them just what a difference they make. They continue to support their clients, by providing safe care, but also helping them cope with the isolation. A lot of our clients like going out, or spending time with family and friends, which sadly they can't do at the minute, however the CAREGivers are still making good use of the time they have. Whether it be sitting in the garden, playing games, doing puzzles and crafts, or giving their client a blow dry or a pedicure. We truly are thankful to have such a positive team of hard working people, who strive to make their clients safe and happy. They are also enabling the clients and families to connect using a variety of methods including photos, emails, and hand written letters. Keep up the amazing work team, you deserve all the praise you get! Staying safe and healthy, by Staying Home Instead.
Today, 3rd April, our clients, Matteo and Anna featured in local newspaper 'Bedford Today', after our CAREGiver filmed them showing their appreciation for Carers/NHS. The couple from Biddenham joined their street in clapping for their carers last night (Thursday 2nd April) to show their appreciation for the NHS during the Coronavirus pandemic. The paper went on to say that "Anna and Matteo, joined hundreds of thousands of people across the country, as they put their hands together at 8pm to Clap For Carers. The couple, who have been married for 71 years, live in the annex next to their daughter. Anna had a pacemaker fitted last week so she is very thankful for all the NHS staff, doctors, nurses and CAREGivers who look after them". How wonderful! We are thoroughly proud of all our CAREGivers who are continuing to provide the best care and support possible to all our amazing and inspirational clients.
