Lucy Gill, the owner of the Altrincham Home Instead office, set up her first workshop at St Albans Church 'Senior Summer Club'.

Running over 3 days Lucy was asked to come and direct a card-making event, a 'Health Hips and Heart' exercise class.

On the first day a fantastic hour with the most inspirational pupils, Lucy met Albert, Jean and Ann. The day started off with Albert and Jean creating cards for friends, Albert wanted a Japanese scene and Jean wanted to try a mechanical technique to challenge her, as she usually paints water colours. Ann challenged Lucy, since Ann’s arm was in a cast, to make a card for her community group "Two little Ducks".

"Two little Ducks" was explained by Ann, it is a Community group, raising money for the Children's Hospital Manchester and also for a young girl called Lilly who lives in Broadheat, Broadheath being part of St Albans Church community. The group meet up every fortnight, at the Navigation pub Altrincham to raise money, the next meeting is on Wednesday 22nd August 7:30pm.

On Wednesday Lucy also treated the attendees to a 'Health Hips and Hearts' seated exercise taster session, everyone joined in and gave it their all. Lucy commented "I was exhausted but full of admiration for an amazing group of people, who obviously know how to live life to the full."

The last afternoon at St Albans church summer gathering was a treat, Lucy was welcomed with Waitrose staff handing out cheese and wine - brilliant! This was Lucy’s last chance to inspire her pupils with more card making, the class yet again exceeded her expectations, making a die cut handbag-styled sixteen years birthday card design and another card shaped like a cuckoo clock, inspired for a two year birthday card.
