Brooklands Bowling Club Sale
We have an extensive list of Bowling Clubs in the recent Live well, your way Magazine -
To highlight some of the groups Lucy went to visit Brooklands Bowling Club which is a mixed member crown green bowling club (women and men bowlers) who run matches throughout the week with 7 teams, who play in local leagues.
Most of the Brooklands bowlers are 50+. They are super keen for more lady bowlers to join. You only have to commit to one afternoon or evening a week over the season. Beginners classes run on a Tuesday morning 10:45am – 11:45am at Moor Nook Green (off Norris Rd opposite the high school)
To play competitive bowls individuals have to join the British Crown Green Bowling Association and the Cheshire County Bowling Association. This is a one-off fee of £15. which lasts a lifetime. Brooklands Sports Club fees for bowling only, are £57 per annum for Seniors and £99 per annum for others. (No hidden extras!)
The best way to find out more is by popping down to Brooklands Sports Cub (open every day Friday10am–10pm, Saturday 9am–8:30pm, Sunday 9:30am–7:30pm, Monday10am–10pm, Tuesday10am–10pm, Wednesday10am–10pm, Thursday10am–10pm). Their notice board has the contact details for you to chat to a member of the team and then maybe take part in a “round robin” held one Sunday a month throughout the season (April- Sept).
