Altrincham and Sale are getting into the festive spirit with Be a Santa to a Senior

Home Instead in Sale and Altrincham recently launched their ‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ Christmas present appeal for the 5th year running.

On Thursday 23rd November, the Home Instead team set up a stall in Sainsbury’s, Sale, and the local community really stepped up to the challenge by donating 100 presents for the elderly people in our community.  This is addition to the 80 presents donated at Timperley Methodist Church on Saturday, 18th November.

Last year more than 750 presents were donated and distributed and the team at Home Instead are set to top that number in 2017. This year local schools, including Heyes Lane Primary School, Broomwood Primary School, Wellington School and Altrincham College of Arts will be getting involved in the appeal by making cards to accompany the presents.

If you would like to support the appeal and donate a present then please take them to the following donation collection points:

Altrincham – Randalls Jewellers (George Street) and The Greenhouse Health Food Shop & Café (Oxford Road)

Ashton on Mersey - No9 The Loft (Green Lane)

Broadheath – Home Instead Office (Huxley Street)

Hale - Bladons of Hale (Ashley Road) and Hale Library (Leigh Road)

Hale Barns - Lloyds Pharmacy, Hale Road

Sale Moor - Charley’s Corner Coffee Shop & deli, Northenden Road

Sale - Sainsbury’s (Curzon Road), Skipton Building Society (School Road), Sale Library (Tatton Road), Serendipitea Café (Washway Road) and The Avenue Methodist Church
