Home Instead Westminster hosted a hugely successful bake sale to raise money for Dementia UK

Emma and Anna have made the crazy decision to walk from LONDON to BRIGHTON nonstop on the 27th May. This will be between 24 and 36 hours walking.

Emma and Anna both work for Home Instead Senior Care Westminster and City of London.

The reason they are doing this ridiculous walk is that we want to raise money for Dementia UK, and more specifically to help them fund for more admiral nurses in London and the UK.

Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who give expert practical, clinical and emotional support to families living with dementia to help them cope. They are registered nurses, and have significant experience of working with people with dementia.

As they are fundraising at the moment they organised an amazing bake sale.

There was plenty to choose from the total of 19 edible fancies. The selection included a beautifully decorated Victoria sponge and delicious chocolate, orange and cupcakes. With homemade biscuits and even the healthy option of banana bread, there was something for everyone!

People from every local business came together to raise £150 to support Dementia UK, and more specifically to help them fund for more admiral nurses in London and the UK.

Admiral nurses are such an important resource for a population of people living with dementia that is growing at an alarming rate, over 850 000 people in the UK have been diagnosed.
