Home Instead Westminster hosted a bake sale to raise money for Dementia UK for the second year in a row

We all spent our weekend baking lots of delicious cakes to raise money for Dementia UK, and more specifically to help them fund for more admiral nurses in London and the UK.

Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who give expert practical, clinical and emotional support to families living with dementia to help them cope. They are registered nurses, and have significant experience of working with people with dementia.

There was plenty to choose from the total of 20 edible fancies all home made by Anna, Emma and Fred. The selection included Courgette cake, Spicy Muffins, decorated Victoria sponge and delicious chocolate, orange and cupcakes. With homemade biscuits, there was something for everyone!

People from every local business came together to raise £150 to support Dementia UK.

Admiral nurses are such an important resource for a population of people living with dementia that is growing at an alarming rate, over 850 000 people in the UK have been diagnosed. Thanks for supporting our cause.
